Mariners Game with our WA “Kids”

Instead of just getting together to visit over a meal, we prefer to have an experience doing something together instead. Experiences typically create better memories. Abby pointed out to me that the Mariners have a home game on the date that worked for all of us. Sweet. We got the tickets online. Barry and I went to Abby’s apartment and we met Maddox at the light rail station at Northgate.

The four of us then met Richard outside the stadium.

Initially when we arrived the roof was closed since there was a chance of rain. The threat disappeared. The roof was open for the entire game. Luckily, the roof closed made it easier to get our pre-game group shot.

You can see the Seattle Ferris Wheel behind the cruise ship.

Mascot Race. Not that we went to many Mariner games, but this event was new to Barry and Me.

Mariners WON!!! They beat the Houston Astros! Always more fun when your team wins. 🙂

Final Score: Astros 4, Mariners 6
The weather was ideal for the entire game.

We headed over to Hat Back Bar & Grille to get something to eat…and more importantly – extend our time together!

We finally had to say goodbye to Richard. The rest of us headed back to the light rail. Can’t wait till we can take the light rail right from Abby’s location or even further north! It makes it SO much easier and therefore more of an incentive to go into the city for a day!

Thank you, Abby, Maddox, and Richard for putting us on your calendar so we could have quality time with all of you! We love you!!
