After the incredible sunset with the East and West Mittens, we finished getting Vinny ready, hooked up the Jeep and began our travel day to Moab.
Before getting out of the area we had to make the stop for the classic Forrest Gump shot. We were a bit limited where we could pull over, but it was very cool to be there. All kinds of people-including us, would be in the middle of the highway, and then scatter to the sides as vehicles approached. You’d just get ready for a picture when you’d have to jump up and move. Of course, there were some idiots who were speeding down the road even knowing and seeing that there were people and vehicles on both sides of the road in several spots. It wasn’t like anyone tried to stay in the road to the last minute or second.
The change in terrain was amazing. Barry captured what he could with my phone since I was driving today.
