Theresa Figurelli was part of the math team at Heatherwood Middle School the entire time I taught there. We retired the same year. While I left the area immediately to live full time in our new RV with Barry, Theresa stayed in Mill Creek. She has been kept busy as a substitute for our math colleagues still working, but travels in between.
Part of Theresa’s latest trip south to the San Diego/LA area included a drive to Yuma with her long time friend, Mary Alice. Here she came to see Joni W and me. It was fun to show them around our new home and the resort, but most of all it was great to see Theresa in person, and spend a couple hours catching up.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~When Barry and I were in New Orleans for a couple days over Thanksgiving 2019, we happened to meet Tricia and Ed Iannone on the shuttle from the French Quarters back to our RV park. The next thing we knew we were going with them the next day to the Thanksgiving Opening Day at the race track. We met their kids at the track, and ended up having Thanksgiving dinner with all of them. What a special day it had become. Tricia and I have kept in touch ever since. They came out west to go to the Rose Parade and spend the winter in this general area. Our schedules allowed us to get together for the Super Bowl at our place. We were all cheering for the Bengals. They did great, but unfortunately, lost. It was a great game, though. We introduced Tricia to samples of Pink Whitney and 99. She really liked them. Since we don’t really the Pink Whitney, and I had a full bottle of it we gifted it to her.
We will get together again soon to go to the Yuma Territorial Prison.
Keep up the good work 😃
Thank you, Jewel. Welcome to my blog!
