During our quick stop in Chula Vista to see the grandkids and the house they all moved into a couple weeks earlier, Justin found out that he was promoted to ENGINEER with the Chula Vista Fire Department! We are so proud of him and all the long hours of studying he committed to for this major advancement. The Captain (1st in command), and the Engineer (2nd in command) ride up front. He determines the amount and force of water needed for the ensuing fire situation. The pinning ceremony was going to take place while we were there!
Isaac adores his dad! He was with Justin when he got the call telling him he was being promoted to engineer. Isaac was super excited from that moment on. It was a delight watching him at the ceremony where it became a reality.

Dinner was provided for all attending, but Justin and others had to get back to their station to finish their shift. The Isaac and Mona were only interested now in the bouncy house with slides. I think they were the first ones in and about the last two out.
Time to head back to the station.
