While we had Isaac for two nights in September, Barry suggested “we” make some cookies to take to Justin and his fellow firefighters. Isaac was excited to do this, so he and I immediately started making some snickerdoodle cookies. By the time we finished the snickerdoodles, Isaac was done. I was on my own to make the peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, and the coconut macaroons. These were new Keto recipes, so I hoped they would turn out well.
On Sunday, we met Erika and Mona at the fire station. How nice it was to meet all the firefighters on Justin’s shift. The chief set up a pickleball court at the station. I was hoping to maybe get in a game, but it didn’t happen. BUT, we did get to go for a ride on one of the fire trucks! They even hit the siren and lights for us –well, more for the kids, but Barry and I got a rush from it, too. Once we were back at the station, Justin pulled the hose and let both Isaac and Barry man the hose. After a complete tour of the station, we headed back home. Thank you, Justin Patrick and the entire blue team at Chula Vista Fire Station #7!! You rock!!
