We arrived at Pio Pico Thousand Trails, Jamul, Ca which is near Chula Vista and only about 10 miles from Erika & Justin and the grandkids! It is a decent park with a great adult pool. However, 50 amp sites are very limited. Having a lot of extended time with Isaac and Mona is our reason to be here. Luckily a Thousand Trails resort/campground is in this area. They are growing up so fast! What a joy they are to be with and watch them develop in so many ways. Our Elite membership allows us to stay in a Thousand Trails (TT) park for 3 weeks and go right to another TT for 3 weeks and continue that way forever, but there is not another TT close enough for seeing the kids. Instead, we stay for our 3 week time frame and leave for 1 week either at the Chula Vista Elks or splurge to go to Silver Strand State Beach near Coronado for part of our week out. Then we can go back to Pio Pico for another three weeks. We bought a membership for Isaac (& Mona) to the New Children’s Museum in San Diego. It is so much fun taking Isaac and watching him get more engaged with various activities each time. He loves it here.
