Six months ago I was able to get online and book a full week at the Silver Strand State Beach in the premium front row for us to celebrate Barry’s birthday at the beach! These run about $15 more than the other rows, but makes it worth it having a Class A motorhome so we can nose in (pull in) and face the water to have that gorgeous view from inside our rig. Then when we open our door we step right onto the beach! LOVED it!!! We still had pavement for our patio area under the awning.
Unfortunately, the weather didn’t stay as nice as originally forecasted this week! It was overcast and in the 60’s, but just being at the beach makes all days worth it. 🙂 It did finally break out to full sun the last couple days.
We had a nice little BBQ for Barry’s birthday. Justin and Erika came out along with our dear friends, Jo & Don Richardson.

We had Isaac with us overnight for three of our nights. It was great having such immediate access to the beach. Isaac loved playing in the sand! I had purchased 2 beach chairs and a beach “tent” for Barry’s birthday. We finally put them to use the last few days of our stay when we had both Mona and Isaac for a couple days.
We took the kids for a bike ride and went through the pedestrian tunnel that was painted with realistic water life murals. The whale was so awesome in person. It was huge, and the eye was incredibly lifelike!
